Note: Under the Hong Kong law, "The Hongkong Japanese Club " had been under the control of SOCIETIES ORDINANCE, until it became under the control of COMPANIES ORDINANCE in September 14, 1993. At present, " The Hongkong Japanese Club "comes under the category of a limited liability company.

"The Hongkong Japanese Club" is a nonprofit club for members only,established in August 1955 with 16 corporate members and about 90 individual members. As of November 2008, after 53years from its establishment, the number of the corporate member is 379 and that of the individual member is 2,331(Including 456 associate members- Chinese and other foreign nationals).
The Club is managed by "the Board of Directors" - currently it consists of 25 directors - according to the rules of "the Articles of Association of the Hongkong Japanese Club". The concrete activities are planned and carried out by various departments.

The objectives of the Club are to promote the friendship and mutual assistance among members and to improve the welfare of the members and, moreover, to extend the service and friendship to the Hong Kong community.
To accomplish these objectives, the Club manages the facilities, such as the restaurants for members and operates cultual and sports activities and various associations.

HOW TO APPLY FOR MEMBERSHIP
(1) Please come to the club to pick up the application form of our membership.
You can ask the club to send the application form by mail (Please send your name and address by fax).
(2) Please fill up the form and send it back to the club, together your cheque for entrance fee, card fee, and deposit for Individual members. The fees are written as below.

* Individual Members are requested to pay deposit for HK$1,000 on entry.
*All members are requested to pay HK$50 for making their members card.

The Club is located at 68 Yee Wo Street in Causeway Bay, which has a good access to the underground (MTR) - it takes only 10 minutes from the Central district -, and to the bus and tram networks.
It is also very convenient place for shopping, for it is located in the same office building as Regal Hotel Hong Kong.

The Club is managed by "the Board of Directors" - currently it consists of 28 directors - according to the rules of "the Articles of Association of the Hongkong Japanese Club". The concrete activities are planned and carried out by various departments.

The management expenses is covered by the revenues, such as the enrollment fees and membership fees.
